Ronald Glenn Aday, 47, Tuscumbia, died Monday, June 3, 2002, at home after an extended illness. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at First Methodist Church of Sheffield. Mr. Aday will lie in state from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery. George Cobb, Bill Bedsole and Danny Dwyer will officiate. Mr. Aday was a native of Colbert County, was a veteran, retired from TVA and First Methodist Church of Sheffield and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Florence. Survivors include his wife, Doddie Aday, Tuscumbia; his mother, Lela Chaney, Sheffield; sons, Nicky Aday and wife, Charity, Muscle Shoals, Michael Despigno and wife, Jennifer, Tuscumbia; brothers, Kenneth Aday of Georgia, Ricky Robinette, Tuscumbia, and David Vandiver of Illinois; sisters, Julie Simbeck, Tuscumbia, Callie Perry, Sheffield, Nancy Hymans, Florence, Deborah Stark, Illinois, Susie Palumbo, Illinois, Dessie England, Louisiana, and Ernestine Morse, also of Louisiana; sister-in-law, Melissa McCravy, Killen; grandchildren, Dakota Aday, Muscle Shoals, Skylar Despigno and Dillon Despingo, Tuscumbia; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers include Bobby Nickens, Thyron Nickens, Stephen Nickens, Shannon Nickens, Darrell McCravy, Craig Farris, T.J. Jymans III and Danny Bohannon. Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
