Martha was born April 24, 1938 in San Diego. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Ira Taylor; mother Camille Anderson Draper, and stepfather, Eric Draper who she called Dad and deeply admired.
Martha was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Tom Asimos. After graduating from Point Loma high school, the two married in 1958 in the Prado at San Diego's Balboa Park in a regal and glamorous ceremony, befitting her grace and gentility. She was a devoted wife who followed her husband's career path to numerous and sometimes lonely and remote locales: Clovis, Maxwell, Espanola, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque, NM; Glendale, AZ; and Encinitas, CA.
Martha is survived by her beloved son Eric Thomas Asimos of Encinitas, her most loving and giving caretaker; two sisters: Elaine Pearson and Pat Nash with husband Brent Nash of Bend, OR; two sisters-in law: Karen Asimos and Vivian Asimos Gunnels; and numerous nephews and nieces whom Martha cherished as her own children and grandchildren.
Martha is also survived by many friends. Her family wishes to specifically mention one long-term and dear person, Sue Boeke as well as her loving supporter, Sherri Beres. Notably, Martha also leaves behind her dog and little pal, Scruffy to whom she was totally devoted.
Martha will be remembered for her beauty, sophistication, and good humor. She had a magnanimous and noble spirit. She was tender, tiny, and tough as steel.
