Linda Kay Acuff of Ellettsville passed away at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the age of 63. Linda was born in Plainfield, Indiana on July 25, 1952 to Chester Abbott and Pauline (Scott) Abbott. She married Greg Acuff on January 15, 1972 and started a loving family. Linda worked at Cook Inc. and also assisted in the kitchen for the RBBCSC. She was an active and faithful member of the Ellettsville Church of Christ. Linda always had time for her grandchildren and loved them all dearly. Traveling to Florida was one of her favorite things to do. Linda is survived by her husband, Greg of Ellettsville; children, Kelcey Acuff and his wife Andrea of Ellettsville, Angie Acuff and Carrie Monroe and husband Troy all of Bloomington; grandchildren, Mackenzie and husband Chris, Rylie, Skylar, Payton, Taylor, Mason, and Savanna; brothers, Donald Abbott and wife Barbara of Plainfield, and Ronald Abbott and wife Mary Ann of Mooresville; and sister, Phyllis Smith and husband Howard of Plainfield. Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Paul Adams officiating. Burial is to follow at Chambersville Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
