Max Edward AGATHER Born into the family of Alfons and Martha Agather on the third floor of the family home in Kalispell, Montana, March 29, 1921. He was the last surviving member of that family until his passing at his home on Maui on August 19, 2008 at age 87. That morning he had been riding his tractor through his garden having use of only his left hand and breathing from an oxygen bottle. On his mind was the lemon tree that he wanted to plan, thoughts of a puppy, and dreams of a hang gliding trip. Max was not a man to be confined. He flew gently away during that afternoon nap. Max was preceded in death by two beloved wives: Donna Frances (Johnson) Agather and Rosemary Isabel Agather. Max is survived by his children: Judy and Fran Agather; David, Ron and Candace Taylor; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. To honor Max's life he would have said "Make something with your hands, cook a good meal, spend time with your friends, swim in the ocean, plant seeds and live each day to the fullest." Max loved to fly. We know that he is soaring now.
