My great-grandfather; he was born in Canada, son of Nelson & Mildred Jackson Emerson. He married Catherine Cowan (8/2/1892). They settled in East Boston where he worked for the railroad until his retirement in 1936. They spent their final years residing in Hingham, Massachusetts w/their daughter & son-in-law. Charles N. Emerson died from pneumonia, resulting from complications of a broken hip, suffered 2 months earlier.
