Born to Maroof Jyawook & Kafia Al-Shakhly Jyawook. She resided in Baghdad until coming to America in 1958. She graduated from Post Junior College in Waterbury, CT (1960). She attended the University of Bridgeport, for 2 years, but got married & never completed her degree. She moved to Willington, CT in 1963, where she resided the remainder of her life. Within the last 48 years of her life, she raised a son, became active in the local PTA, became a member of the local fire department auxilary, taught both belly dancing & ballroom dancing, and was a member of her local senior citizens. She is survived by a son, 2 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
