Renowned L.A. architect, he was involved in designing the LA. Observatory, L.A. City Hall,
the Shrine Auditorium, and many other Los Angeles landmarks. He was a member of the National Guard and active in the Sons of the Revolution.

He designed the house he lived in
for many years,a classical revival home at 740 N. Ave 66, which was declared a Los Angeles Historical Monument in Dec., 1988.
