He re-enlisted on January 4, 1864, received a promotion to Corporal on March 1, 1864, and was transferred to Company A at an unrecorded date. On February 1, 1865 he was advanced to Sergeant, and was honorably mustered out on July 17, 1865.
He was married to Joanna Abbott, and they had at least three children - Grover (d.1873), William P. (b.1877) and Pauline V. (b. 1883).
His post-war career was as a conductor for the West Jersey and Seashore Railroad Company.
In 1891 he filed for a United States Army Invalid Veteran Pension (Application #1068528, Certificate #822647, NY).
