Former player and head football coach for the Minnesota Gophers football team. Coached the Gophers from 1972 to 1978. He coached at Wake Forest for three seasons before coming to Minnesota, where he succeeded Murray Warmath as head coach. Stoll had a heart transplant in 1987.
