Davis Lear is my mom's first cousin. His father Joseph Dewey Lear (also on Find a Grave), and my grandfather Thomas Calvin Lear were brother's. (Also on Find A Grave)

Davis Lear was the son of Joseph Dewey Lear and Emma (Sweet) Rose Brown. They had four children. Dewey Green Lear, Mattie Beulah Lear, Davis Hearnton Lear, Sr. and Oada Lear.

Davis married Dorothy Josephine Frances Watson-Lear on September 29, 1945. This past September they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. What an inspiration. They have 6 children, 5 boys and one girl. There is Davis Hearnton (Butch) Lear, Jr., Harold Joseph Lear, Adrienne Marie Lear-Hamilton, Michael Eugene Lear, Brian Thomas Lear, Alan Andrew Lear. Five daughter in laws include, Patricia, Jennifer, Perrette, Michelle, and Glenda. One son in law, James.

Grandchildren include, Davis Hearnton Lear, III, Sean, Lauren, Kahlia, Jaemie Lear, Christopher, Vienne, Dominque, Kristen, Savannah, Michael, Julian, Jerad, Maegan, Victoria, and Alan Lear, Jr.,

My memories of Uncle Davis goes as far back as I can remember. I remember going over to their house often with my G'ma. Sometimes we'd spend the night. They took care of special needs children, having up to 7 at a time. I truly believe my patience and acceptance of special needs children was brought about because of the time I spent at their home. Those are actually the onlt time that I've ever been around special needs children. They would bring them camping. I to this day I remember several of the kids names. Great memories of my childhood~
