Richard Earl (Dick) Faris

Richard (Dick) Faris, 59, 306 South West Street, died at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, Sunday. He was born Oct. 14, 1920, in Hillsboro, the son of Roger and Margaret Cameron Faris.

He was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ; a veteran of World War II; a member of Raymond R. Stout Post No. 129, American Legion; a charter member of Hillsboro Jaycees; a member of Hillsboro Elks Lodge; Past Exulted Ruler of Hillsboro Elks; Past District Deputy of the Elks; Past president of Hillsboro Rotary Club; Past President Hillsboro Board of Education.

At the time of his death, he was treasurer of the Board of Education of Oak Hills School District in Hamilton County.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; two sons; two grandchildren and brother. Services will be Wednesday 2 P.M. at Hope Miller Funeral Home, Richard Carpenter and Rev. Harold Hockley of Cincinnati will officiate.

Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at Hope Miller Funeral Home.

Elks services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 P.M.
Memorial contribtions may be made to Hillsboro Church of Christ Building Fund or to the charity of the donors choice.
