Abel Gallardo Aguillon passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, in Butner, N.C., at the age of 61 years, 4 months, and 26 days. He was a resident of Butner and was a former resident of Floresville, Texas, and Big Spring. He was born May 24, 1950, in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of Miguel and Julia Gallardo Aguillon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda Aguillon.
Survivors include children: Maria Martinez, Alicia Aguillon, Leticia Aguillon, Miguel Aguillon, and Jaime Aguillon; sisters, Ausencio Aguillon and Florencio Melchor; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Thursday, Oct. 27, in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, with the Rev. Phil Henning officiating.
Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery in Floresville.
