Father Diacetis died suddenly on Friday 16 Sept 2005. He was found in the parish rectory of Our Lady of Grace Church where he had served as Pastor since 1986. Son of Theodore J. and Conchetta Christiana Diacetis. Father Diacetis had served as a chaplain for the New York Army National Guard from 1987 until his death. He also served as a chaplain for the Navy's Nuclear Power Training Unit in West Milton, NY. An avid animal lover, he was "pet sitting" for several service members on duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. A canon lawyer, parish priest, sage counselor for the military, and humble servant of God. May he forever rest in peace.
