Burial in the Prairieview Cemetery by the church in an individual mausoleum with the Gerth & Baskett Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. George A. Phillips, his grandfather, gave the parents the following poem for his obituary. "But no! that look is not the last, We yet may meet where seraphs dwell, Where love no more deplores the past, Nor breathes that withering word ------farewell!"
