Cap was a resident of Middleton, Wisconsin. He died at the age of 78 with his family by his side on a Saturday. He was the son of Frank and Helen (Spahn) Acker. Cap was raised in Ashton and he later moved to Middleton. He married Patricia Lubcke on February 6, 1951, in Ashton. Together they farmed for 13 years. Cap worked for 27 years as a tool and die maker at Graber (Springs Window Fashions) before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors and being among family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife, Pat of Middleton; children, Jeff (Colene) Acker, Leigh Ann (Bill) Eddy, Jerry Acker, Sandy Bilek, Heidi Varesi, Dana (Keith) Carden, and Tammy Acker (fiance Bill Bohling); grandchildren, Jaron, Leah, Jesse, Zach, Kristopher, Steven, Ben, Dakota, Taylor and Sydney; brothers, Ray Acker and Laurence (Sally) Acker; sisters, Marian Hensen, Marcella Wagner, Dolores (Leonard) Bollig, Helen Gilles, Jane (Bill) Whitt, and Jeanette (Carl) Kurt. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Greg, Jerome and Edmund; grandson, Dustin Varesi; and son-in-law, Steve Varesi. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at 1 p.m.
