MRS. COATES RITES HELD MONDAY

Mrs. Nancy Coats, 84, passed away at her home in Beaverton city on Friday, June 10. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Beaverton Methodist church with the Rev. Donald Sailer, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton cemetery. Nancy Catherine Priest was born in Paulding county, Ohio, January 27, 1865. She was married to John McGrath on May 31, 1884. He died several years later. On February 15, 1888, she married Orren Coats, who died on May 29, 1947. Mrs. Coats has been a resident in Beaverton city since 1901. A son, John C. McGrath, preceded his mother in death in 1921.
Surviving are two adopted children, Mrs. Ottie Malosh and Gustavus Coats, both of Beaverton; one brother, Sylvester Priest, of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Mary Duggan, of Gladwin; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
