Daughter of James J. and Mary W. Casey. A 1978 graduate of Bay Village High School, she was a junior transfer student at Bowling Green State University. After being delayed overnight after a seven-inch snowstorm in Ada, OH, where she and two friends had attended a Michael Stanley Band concert, their car was struck by a tractor trailer at 12:20 p.m. at Ohio 237 and U.S. 30, two miles south of Ada. Denise and one of her friends perished. She was survived by her parents, three sisters and a brother.
