Subsequent to studies at Glendale College and UCLA he served in the Army in Alaska. In 1956 he was hired by Globe Photos eventually becoming West Coast bureau chief overseeing celebrity photography at movie premieres and other events.
DeNeut authored a collection of Globe photos titled, "Inside Hollywood". With his long time friend, former actress Reverend Mother Dolores Hart, he helped develop Patricia Neal's autobiography "As I Am" and Mother Dolores' memoir, "The Ear of the Heart".
He died of pneumonia, kidney disease and congestive heart failure.
