Jackie Young Collis, age 70, of Mineral Bluff, passed away March 22, 2013, at Heritage Healthcare.
Mr. Collis was born June 11, 1942, in Blue Ridge to the late Howard W. Collis and the late Blanche M. Queen Collis. He was preceded in death by nephew Wesley Hickey. He was a member of New River Baptist Church.
Mr. Collis is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Ruby and Erith Rhodes, Jeannette and Wayne Mashburn, Peggy and James Hickey, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Wehunt and the Rev. Roy Clore officiating.
Interment followed in Barnes Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
The pallbearers were James Mashburn, David Mashburn, Matthew Mashburn, Jordan Mashburn, Donnie Godfrey and Kirkland Godfrey.
