Rita Rae Anderson, age 64, of Hammond,IN passed away Monday, April 5, 2004. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Ricardo) Davila of East Chicago,IN and Peggy (Sam) Foster) of Hammond, IN; grandchildren Kevin Foster who is serving in Iraq, Ricardo, Christopher and RaeAnn Davila; sister, Helen Young; brothers, Terry (Lynda) Smith and Jeff (Laura) Smith; preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Frances Smith.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2004, at 7:00 P.M. from the Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6:00 PM until the time of the service.
Rita Rae Anderson (Smith), beloved mother,grandmother and friend to many. Rita was known as a very kind and generous soul. Her life was her family and her pet, Gizmo. She was our strength. Rita was a hairdresser with Maxim's Salon located in Montgomery Ward's in Munster for thirty plus years. Our Mother will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
