Born September 4, 1947 in Marion, Ohio, he was the son of the late Louis N. and Helen L. (Seambos) Alex.
He graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1965 and from the Ohio State University in 1969. He worked for and retired from Marion Harding High School after 30 years as a high school teacher teaching history. He was a member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Mansfield, Ohio. He resided in Marion for 57 years prior to moving to Cincinnati, Ohio.
He is survived by one brother, James L. (Koula) Alex, Cincinnati; nieces, Denise E. and Christine C. Alex of Columbus; cousins, Angelo (Kelly), George (Cheryl), and Louis Seambos of Toledo, Angelo (Julie) Korogianos of Hilliard, Nicholas (Barb) Alex of Enterprise, Alabama, Sheila (Dennis) Plassman of Rudolph, plus numerous cousins in Greece.
I had Mr. Alex as a student teacher at Marion Pleasant when I was in 8th grade which would have been in 1968. Sorry to hear of his passing.
