Elizabeth Anne Arnett, age 70, of Columbus, Ohio died suddenly on March 5, 2012. Elizabeth was a graduate of Westerville High School, class of 1959, and The Ohio State University class of 1964. She earned a BS in education and mathematics before serving as a middle school teacher. She became a labor consultant for the Ohio Education Association, where she worked until her retirement. Survived by her husband, James; daughters, Joanne, Barbara (David Humphreys) and Sarah; grandchildren, Elisse, Stephen and Sophie; brother, Ed (Cheryl) Hoon, Jr.; and also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward L. and Anne Hoon. A memorial mass will be held at The Newman Center, 64 West Lane Avenue, Columbus, OH 43201 on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Fr. Chuck Cunniff, celebrant, followed by reception. Parking available behind The Newman Center and on both sides of Lane Avenue. Condolences can be sent to The Newman Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society or Planned Parenthood.
