FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. DOROTHY BALLARD
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11am at Kingsway-Lambton United Church for Mrs. Dorothy Ballard, wife of Maple Leaf Hockey Club vice president Harold Ballard. Mrs. Ballard died suddenly yesterday morning in Wellesley Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Centreton, Ont. daughter of Rev. William Biggs, she graduated from Wellesley Hospital and was a nurse for about 15 years. She and Mr. Ballard were married for 29 years.
One of the Leafs more enthusiastic fans, Mrs. Ballrd was active in work for the Cancer Society, the Association for Retarded Children and the United Church of Canada.
She is resting at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. Interment will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery.
She leaves her husband, daughter Mrs. Allan D. MacLean and two sons, William and Harold Jr.
Also, sister, Mrs. Harry (Eileen) Ramsay and brother, the late Alfred Higgs.
