DR. W.L.T. ADDISON BURIED QUIETLY IN MOUNT PLEASANT
Attended by members of the immediate family and close personal friends, a private funeral service was held this afternoon for the late Dr. William Lockwood Thornton Addison, prominent Toronto physician, who died suddenly on Thursday at the age of 60. Rev. Stanley H. Greenslade, assisted by Rev. W. Caswell of Oakville, conducted the service at the home, 431 Broadview Ave., and at the graveside in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, where interment was made. Simplicity marked the rites, and flowers were gratefully declined by the family.
Among the mourners were the widow, two sons, John and Peter; two daughters, Mrs. F.B. Vull, of Gardiner, Maine, and Miss Julia Addison; a brother , Rev. A.P. Addison, of Toronto, and two sisters, Miss Charlotte and Mis Margaret Addison, the latter dean of Annesley Hall, Toronto.
The late Dr. Addison was a son of the late Rev. Peter Addison, noted Methodist preacher. He was born at Morning's Mills and was a medical graduate of the university of Toronto, attaining his M.D. degree in 1898. For some years he was pathologist at the Ontario Veterinary College and medical officer for the William Davies Co. Limited.
