William Fitzhugh was a third owner along with Colonel Nathaniel Rochester and Charles Carroll of the Hundred Acre Tract, on which the city of Rochester New York now stands. He was born in Calvert Count Maryland, October 6, 1761. He came to Genesee County in New York in 1799. He resided for a time at Geneva, NY, and in 1803 settled at Sodus NY, where he died in 1839.
