Curtis Howard Allen, 67, of Laurel, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial in Lake Park Hills. Mr. Allen was a Regional Sales Manager for Baroid-Halliburton Company. He and his wife, Eva Ann, traveled the world extensively with Baroid. His family formerly owned Walkaway Springs and he spent much of his childhood there. He received an engineering degree from Mississippi State University where he was a football player. He was also in the Knights of Columbus and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He will be remembered as a perfect and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Morgan Allen and Marjorie Jennings Allen.Survivors include his wife, Eva Ann Allen of Laurel; sons, Jerry Perkins of Lake Eddins and David (Lori) Perkins of Hattiesburg; daughters, Joan (Greg) Jones, Patty (Brent) Bullock and Heather (Drew) Brown, all of Laurel, and Beth Bergin of Hattiesburg; nine grandchildren, Layla Smith, Hope Perkins, Austin Perkins, Emmie Perkins, Sadie Perkins, Tanner Bullock, Maggie Bullock, Ryan Bergin,, and Rachel Bergin; brother, Dr. Mark (Rose) Allen of Quitman; sister, Judy Wilson of Belize, Mexico; and nieces and nephews, Stacy Sims, Michael Allen and Jeffrey Allen. Pallbearers were David Perkins, Jerry Perkins, Greg Jones, Drew Brown, Dr. Mark Allen, Michael Allen, Brent Bullock and Jeffery Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Loper, Paul Dalier, Austin Perkins, Buddy Saul, Thomas Brown, Bob Thompson, Johnny Ray Holifield, Lance Smith and Bob Coffin.
