My brother-in-law, married to my sister Edith in 1944. Right from his youth he was very interested in music, particularly in choral singing, and for a number of years he was committee member and later president of the Union of Danish Choirs. It was during one of his frequent travels round the country that he suddenly and unexpectedly died from heart-failure on board the ferry between Zealand and Funen.
