WEIDENHAMMER Renate "Susie" Weidenhammer, 66, a resident of Kansas City North and a former longtime resident of the Village of Birmingham, passed away May 3, 2012 at St. Luke's Plaza Hospital. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, May 6, at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at 291 Highway, Liberty. A funeral service celebrating Susie's life will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 7, at Hosanna! Lutheran Church, 2800 North Church Road. Burial will follow in Glenridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a fund to assist with expenses and given to charity. Donations may be payable to Bonny Grauerholz and left at the funeral home or church. Susie was born November 16, 1945 in Mietraching, West Germany. She came to the United States in 1955 and became a US citizen in 1960. She leaves her children and their spouses, Billy Jay and Heather Weidenhammer, Becky and Larry Kump, Bonny and Bryan Grauerholz; mother, Ann Smoyer; and grandchildren, Alexis Kump, Luke Kump, Ashley Weidenhammer, Brooke Grauerholz, Bree Grauerholz, and Emily Weidenhammer.
