He was a farmer and general worker in the Limestone, Freestone and Hill county areas most of his life. He was survived by his wife, Mahala Lee Chapman McMahon and a daughter, Alma Louise McMahon Mayfield. He was predeceased by two sons, James Lewis McMahon and Joseph Lee McMahon, and his parents Daniel and Hettie McMahon and several other relatives.
