Actress, Model. She was best known for playing the character roles of nurses, singers, doctors, and gypsies. She will be best remembered for playing the role of 'Patricia Cahill' in the crime thriller film drama, "Company Of Killers" (1970). The film which was directed by Jerry Thorpe, which was written for the screen by E. Jack Neuman, and which also starred Van Johnson, Ray Milland, and Brian Kelly, tells the story of a gunman who is working for a crime ring and who is hunted by both the police and his employers after a cop is murdered. This was her only film role although she appeared in many television shows. She is also best remembered for playing the role of 'Miss Jean Pagano' in 28 episodes of the classic television series drama, "Mr. Novak," which originally aired from 1963 to 1964, and which also starred James Franciscus, Dean Jagger, Marian Collier, and Vince Howard, tells the story of the experiences of a young, tough-minded, idealistic high school English teacher on his first job provided the stories in this series. John Novak begins at Jefferson High School in Los Angeles under Principal Albert Vane, who doesn't always agree with Novak's approach but admires his dedication to teaching. She began her acting career on Broadway in New York City, New York, in several stage productions of such plays, as 'Young Lady of the Academy,' 'Gypsy,' 'Guest,' 'Maid,' and 'Miannikin,' in "Gypsy Lady (September 17, 1946, to November 23, 1946), as 'Alive and Kicking Singer,' 'Love It Hurts So Good Singer,' and 'Building Going Up Singer,' in "Alive And Kicking" (January 17, 1950, to February 25, 1950), as 'Singer' in "Great To Be Alive!" (March 23, 1950, to May 06, 1950), as 'Princess Maria,' 'Singer,' and 'Secretary to Mrs. Adams,' in "Call Me Madam" (October 12, 1950, to May 03, 1952), and as 'Helene' in "The Gay Life" (November 18, 1961, to February 24, 1962), in which she also sang the song, "Why Go Anywhere At All?" During this time she also made the transition to appearing in films and on television. She made her actual television debut playing the role of 'Fran' in the episode entitled, "Time Bomb," of the adventure television series drama, "Appointment With Adventure," which originally aired on November 27, 1955, and which also starred Anthony Eisley and Chester Morris, tells the story of police who receive a crank letter informing them that a bomb will be placed in a busy railroad station. If the anonymous informant is right, hundreds of people are in danger. The bomb must be found. Besides, playing the role of 'Fran' in the episode entitled, "Time Bomb," of the adventure television series drama, "Appointment With Adventure," which originally aired on November 27, 1955, and which also starred Anthony Eisley and Chester Morris, tells the story of police who receive a crank letter informing them that a bomb will be placed in a busy railroad station. If the anonymous informant is right, hundreds of people are in danger. She retired from acting shortly thereafter. She passed away following a battle with breast cancer in Sherman Oaks, California, on April 30, 1996, three days before what would have been her 67th birthday.
