Mrs. Ilda W. Aebi, 73, of 1545 Plain Ave., NE, Canton was killed 6:30 p.m. when the car driven by Mrs. Aebi struck the rear of a heavily-laden flatbed tractor trailer on New Rt. 62.
Mrs. Aebi was born in Orrville, Oct. 3, 1896, a daughter of Julius and Marie Erzer Guillod, but resided most of her life in Canton, where she was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Quilter's group, Ladies Aid Society and Ida Sunday School class, all of the church and the Swiss Club.
Her husband, Carl, preceded her in death in 1966.
