The ideology that sustains them is the "Regeneracionismo". However, doesn't end up becoming political party what possibly sterilized their renovating efforts. In 1903 it enters in Republican Union of Nicolás Salmerón, and deputy is chosen to Cortes but it didn't end up occupying his bench, tired, sick and enough disillusioned of everything. The influence of Costa was deep, and it is recognized by many thinkers of the 98, of the whole political arch: Menéndez y Pelayo, Unamuno, Ortega y Gasset or Ramiro de Maeztu.
