Christine Agoglia, age 94, of Norwalk, died at her home on Tuesday, March 9. She was the wife of the late Pasquale "Patsy" Agoglia. Born in Brooklyn, NY on January 26, 1915, Mrs. Agoglia was the daughter of the late Luigi and Antoinette Casaragola Del Prete. She worked with her father and husband in the bakery business in New York for 55 years and then moved to Norwalk and worked with her son Joe at his bakery, Angela Mia. She was a life member of the St. Ann Club Women's Auxiliary. She loved to cook and entertain and take care of her loving family.
Christine is survived by her children Joseph Agoglia and his wife Mary Ann of Norwalk, Connie Pizzimenti and her husband Bruce of Pearl River, NY and Robert and Patricia Agoglia of Absecon, NJ, 2 brothers, Carl Del Prete of Brooklyn, NY and Louis Del Prete of Deer Park, NY, a sister, Ada Di Biagio of Vienna, VA, 5 grandchildren, Stephen, Angela, Paul, Patrick and Christine; 6 great grandchildren, Cristina, Deanna, Juliana, Joseph, Michael and John, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings Angelina, Fred and Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 13, 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, followed by burial at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. The family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk today (Wed.) from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 4-8 PM.
