Kim Elaine Anderson, 51, of Mystic, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Backus Hospital in Norwich.
Born in Westerly, RI she was the daughter of the late Herman and Madeline (Kinney) Anderson and lived in Mystic her entire life attending local schools.
She was employed with the former Groton Motor Inn where she was a dedicated worker for over fifteen years.
She leaves her siblings, Phyllis Williams and her husband, Donald, of Lancaster, NH, Gloria Fowler and her husband, Russell, of Noank, Madeline Wilson and her husband, Robert, of Mystic, and Grace Goodrow and her husband, Richard, of Mystic; nine nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard Grove Specialty Care Center and the Backus Hospital Critical Care Unit for the care and compassion shown to Kim during her illness.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the Mystic Funeral Home (51 Williams Ave) Route 1 Mystic. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the Elm Grove Cemetery Rte. 27 Mystic. Donations may be made in Kim's memory to the Alzheimer's Assoc. (www.alz.org).
