According to his obituary, Frank came to the US with his parents when he was five (abt 1861) and lived in [city of Lemont] Cook Co, Ill. His birth year is listed as 1855 while his death cert lists it as 1854. Both indicate he died at 70 yrs. However, records from Poland show a different story.

Based on his baptismal record, he was born on Dec. 27, 1857 in Pawtoxlio? Poznan, Poland to Valentine and Michalina Polcyn. He married Anna Lijewski in Wagrowiec, Pozen, Poland, on 9 Feb 1879. They had at least one child in Poland in late 1879 in Micharzewo, Poland. Based on this date and the date of their next child, Stanislawa, who was born in Lemont on 14 Apr 1882, it appears they left Poland for America around 1880-1882.

Frank moved to Silver Lake Twp., Minn., with his wife, Anna Lijewski, and family in 1895. He married his second wife, Josephine Blachowski, in 1899 (marriage license indicates 1898) after the death of his first wife in 1898. He lived on his farm until 1921 after which he moved to Granada. Of the 10 children from his first wife and the 13 children from his second wife, 15 children survived him.
