Anna's family settled in Bureau County, Illinois, and took up farming. On February 1, 1902, Anna married Charles Lee Jackson. Together they raised one daughter, Lyla.
Anna's husband passed away in 1938 after 36 years of marriage. She eventually remarried George Pierson and lived to be 85 years old. Most of the family remembers her as quite a fun-loving character and she was given the nickname Bo-Bo.
