Thomas Brongel was born to George and Maria Ann (Konieczny) Brongel on Nov. 26, 1909. He was the seventh of nine children. He married Josephine Bildhauer on Oct. 26, 1935. They had one daughter, Judith Lynn. Josephine passed away in 1966. Several years later on Sept. 1, 1973, Thomas married Marge Hart.
Thomas worked at Westclox in Peru, Ill., for 47 years.
He passed away at age 93 on Oct. 12, 2003.
