Sonny was our beloved little hero, a beautiful little mongrel who was blonde with a black nose. We adopted him from Ramona Humane Society on August 27, 2008. He was a light in our lives from the day we brought him home. Our 12-year-old dog Princess was immediately taken with him, and they soon became inseparable. Sonny was a joy of a dog. He loved the huge basted bones that we bought for him from PetsMart, and he adored his "pallet" that we made for him out of a bedspread and fleece blanket. His bed was thick, soft, and warm. The first time he got onto his bed, he luxuriated in the fleece, rolling over and over on his back and moaning and making little noises. His funny little personality and take-charge attitude brought our senior dog Princess back to life, and she began playing and having fun again because of him. He was the little leader of the two of our dogs. Princess just adored him. Then, on October 3, we adopted another dog, Eddie, and he and Eddie became inseparable. Sonny inspired Princess and Eddie to play and run and have fun, and there was never a dull moment for the three of them, ever. Sonny loved to go for car rides, he loved his leash, and he loved to climb huge boulders when we all went for "big walks" in the hills. This morning, Sonny passed away from an accident. My husband and I have cried all day long, sobbing. He is irreplaceable. My heart is broken. Sonny was a tough little man and he will never be forgotten until the day I die. Sonny will wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I will never stop loving him. I praise God for letting me have him for the few months he lived with us.

Sonny is survived by his wife Princess.
