Gordon Keith was the son of Clifford D. Keith and Alice Prosser Keith. He had a sister, Margaret Alice Meyers Kay. He spent his earlier life in Pennsylvania, later moving to the Chicago area. Everyone in his family called him "Tony." He graduated from Pittsburgh State and served in the United States Navy. He had a degree in mechanical engineering.
He met and married Margaret Sullivan in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and from this union were born seven children: John, Daniel, Christopher, Mary, Katy, Tony, and Robert.
Gordon's second marriage was to Annelise Laheld, originally of Norway. This union lasted to his death.
He enjoyed golfing and singing. He had a wonderful bass voice and was involved in the men's chorus in Riverside, California. He was also a member of a barbershop quartet, the Sun City Retreads, in Sun City, California.
I loved his goofy jokes. One such joke was, "Why did the turtle cross the road? To get to the shell station."
Tony was so impressed with Barack Obama when he spoke at the Democratic Convention in 2004, and he hoped that Mr. Obama would be a positive force in the future for the Democratic Party. He did not live to see Barack Obama become President of the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Anne, his children, many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
