Mrs. Linda Stephens Baxley, 64, of Broadfoot Blvd., Vidalia, Ga., died Monday afternoon, Sept. 19, 2005, in Community Hospice House of Vidalia after an extended illness. Mrs. Baxley was a native of Newnan, Ga., moving to Vidalia in 1971. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
Mrs. Baxley is survived by her husband, Stanley Baxley of Vidalia; one daughter, Kaye Lamb of Guyton; one son, Steven Baxley of Winder; her mother, Ruby Stephens of Newnan; one sister, Joyce Hosey of Newnan; one brother, Alan Stephens of Newnan; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Stephens Baxley will be conducted Wednesday morning, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. from Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Rev. Bucky Kennedy and Rev. Don Moye officiating. A Committal Service will be held on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. Interemnt will follow. The family was receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Community Hospice House, P.O. Box 2277, Vidalia.
