'Ben'
Ben, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Charlotte, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, April 21, 2010.
He was born in Lenoir, NC August 27, 1925. Ben was preceded in death by his father, Preston G. Bost, and mother, Corinne Bost Boutwell as well as his 2 sons, Johnny and David.
Ben will be dearly missed by all, especially his loving wife of 63 years, Jean, daughter, Valerie Lovelace of Charlotte, NC as well as his son-in-law, David, and grandson, Preston. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Eads of Manikin Sabot, VA, and brother, George Boutwell of Lenoir, NC.
Ben was a US Navy veteran and served in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a graduate of North Carolina State with a BS in Horticulture and owned and operated Bost Horticultural Service, Inc. in Charlotte for 35 years. Ben was also a long time member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and Pine Lakes Country Club.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. John Harrill officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
