LouVeney Adams, 97, of 25th Street died at 9:41 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2002, at Hickory Creek.
She was a former Bartholomew County Hospital employee and member of East Columbus Separate Baptist Church.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed & Jewell Chapel, on 25th Street with the Rev. Chester Atchley officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and noon until service time Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Bartholomew County.
Born Sept. 7, 1904, in Columbia, Ky., Mrs. Adams was the daughter of Marcus and Sara Redman McCurey [McQueary]. She married the Rev. Coleigny Adams on Aug. 25, 1923, in Columbia. He died Feb. 12, 1968.
She is survived by sons, Donald Ray Adams of North Vernon, Chet Adams of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Charles Adams of Muncie; a daughter, Carol Bowling of Columbus; 21 grandchildren; and 41 great–grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons, Delmar and Dawson Adams, and daughters, Ocal Adams and Delta Fields.
