Lois Arakelian, age 84 of Roanoke, VA. passed away on Sunday, 21 Sep 2003. She retired from the United States government--as did her second husband, Ed Arkelian who predeceased her (b: 12 Oct 1931; d: 4 Jan 1998-in Hyattsville, MD). Lois is survived by her two sons, Charles T. 'Shay' Campbell of Raleigh, NC and Robert E. Cambbell of Herndon, Fairfax Co., VA; a brother, two sisters, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild. A funeral service was conducted on Turesday, 23 Sep 2003 at 2:00 PM from the UPDIKE FUNERAL CHAPEL in Bedford, VA. Interment follwed in the Quaker Baptist Church Cemetery, in Bedford. The family received friends at the funeral home from 12 noon to 1:30 PM on Tuesday preceding the service. Final arragements for the family were handled by the UPDIKE FUNERAL HYOME & CREMATION SERVICE in Bedford, VA.
