Michael Richard Alcorn, 42, was born July 28, 1973, in Springfield, Illinois. He left this world at 6:19 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in the comfort of his home.
He had friends he loved like family and a chocolate Labrador named Churchill who will be adopted by one of his dearest friends.
Michael was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1991–1993. During his service he was deployed to Panama and served as a scout.
He has been extremely fortunate to work with truly good people at the Ill. Dept. of Revenue.
Michael was an enormously talented musician and artist. He collected guitars, drums and other objects of interest. He was a giver, a dreamer, and true friend. He was most happy bonding with his father and brother along with his oldest of friends at the Abe Lincoln Gun Club as members.
He is survived by his father, Richard Alcorn of Springfield; mother, Rosario Amon of Springfield; two sisters, Rose ,Kathleen); one brother, Bill; several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
