She is survived by four daughters, Candace (Victor) Devos of Auburn, Kristi (Tim) Cravens of Springfield, Kim (Larry) Cooper of Riverton and Kelley Fahrenbacher of Springfield, eleven grandchildren, Julie Landers, Josh Cravens, Gena Harness, Jamie Nichols, Troy Fahrenbacher, Drew Cooper, Noelle DeSpain, Danielle Devos, Brooke Cooper, Victor Devos III and Kelley Bellaver, sixteen great grandchildren and one sister, Mardell (Elmer) Rankin of Petersburg.
Mrs. Abbott was a member of Riverton United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Society for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Middletown High School. She enjoyed quilting and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She retired in 1990 from Illinois Bell Telephone Company after 20 years of service.
Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
