BAUMAN, Jerome "Jerry" Michael, passed away Dec. 16, 1996 at his home in Pacific Beach at the age of 82. He was born Dec. 11, 1914 in Chenoa, IL., this is where he met his wife of 58 years Charlotte Louise Asper. Jerry served with the US Navy in the Ship repair unit during WWII. They moved to San Diego in Feb. 1946. Jerry owned the Union 76 Service Station on Mission Blvd in Pacific Beach for 17 years and then went on to serve as a mechanic for Padre Dodge & Mira Mesa Dodge from which he retired in 1975. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, visiting their children & relatives and attending to their gardens. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Charlotte, brother William Bauman, Kailua, Hawaii., sisters Rita Killian of Riverside, CA., Genevieve Peard of West Lafayette, IN., daughter Diane Gianinni of Frazier Park, CA., sons Craig of Pacific Beach, Kent of Portland, OR., 2 grandsons, 5 granddaughters & 1 great grandson. Memorial services will be held at Pacific Beach Presbyterian Church, 1675 Ga rnet Ave. on Mon, Dec. 23, 1996 at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Dec. 24, 11 am. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Pacific Beach Presbyterian Church. We love you & miss you dearly Daddy.
