We rescued him from a street life, when his family moved away and left him there. He wasn't very old. Maybe a year. I always fed the stray kitties in our area. So he got added to the bunch. But he wrapped his little paws around my heart and was allowed into the house in just a few days. He was just as sweet as could be.
Took him to the vet, got his check-up, shots & neutered. But a couple of months later he started loosing weight, although he kept eating. So back to the vet. He had some sort of infection that he had gotten from another cat in a fight. And it was more then likely fatal. He was put on medication to try and combat the infection. Then he started getting weaker. The vet had us bring him in to see if a blood transfusion would help. But with his weakened immune system and the stress of being left at the vets, he died during the night. It breaks my heart that I wasn't there for him.
That cat was something special. And as I said, he wrapped those little paws around my heart. I was completely devastated to loose him. And miss him so much.
