Fritz. Committed by Noble Hamilton Judge of Alameda County August 20th 1863. Age about twenty two years; native of Norway; single; occupation, boatman; has been affected about five days, this is supposed to be the first attack; disease stationary, has no rational intervals; derangement is manifested by dementia - persistantly silent; has no disposition to injure himself or others; has been confined three or four days; cause of insanity, disappointment in love. Very little seems to be known of his family history. He had on his person when arrested eighty 00/100 dollars in money and a ring and breast pin, all of which have been received at the Asylum. Admitted August 23rd 1863. Died September 2nd 1863 from Acute inflammation of the brain.
