Dan (Negro) Committed by Geo. B. Keys Judge of Tuolumne Co. June 11th 1864. Age about forty-five; native of Virginia; single; was last from Texas; has been in this State eleven years; occupation, common laborer; has been partially insane for the last eleven years; disease increasing; symptoms variable with no perfectly rational intervals; derangement is now manifested by inability to reason and a disposition to violence; is habitually disposed to injure others; is not suicidal; is not filthy or destructive; has been temperate; no change in physical health since the attack; has not been confined. Admitted June 17th 1864. Has no property. Died April 7th 1881 of Pneumonia.
