Irene R. Baker, 72, of Fairlane Drive, Bedford, N.H., died July 29, 2005, at Community Hospice House, Merrimack.
She was born in Manchester on April 6, 1933, the daughter of Henry and Grace (Hebert) Pratte, and had been a Manchester resident for most of her life, before moving to Bedford 16 years ago.
Mrs. Baker was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Church.
She was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Intervale Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf with her husband and her friends.
Her husband, Bernard G. Baker, died in 1998.
The family includes two sons, Bryan Baker of Merrimack, and Steven Baker of Litchfield; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Henry Pratte of Manchester; a sister, Doris Body of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today (Thursday, Aug. 4) at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Seton Church. Burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
